Fees for Child and Adolescent Services
The Clinic charges fees for its services.
Clinical interviews, therapy, and consultation services provided through the KU Child & Family Services Clinic are charged at a rate of $10.00 to $40.00 (based on household income and family size) per 50-minute session. The time spent in therapy sessions beyond 50 minutes will be charged in 15 minute segments at 25% of the rate per session. These rates also apply to school-based consultation services. Assessment and testing services for children and adolescents are provided at a rate of $250 to $500 (based on household income and family size) for comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations.
A portion of the fees may be subsidized by the clinic based on your ability to pay. Individual fees may be adjusted according to the caregiver's income and number of dependents. Families who wish to qualify for an adjusted fee must provide proof of their annual household income.

How you will be billed.
Payment for treatment services is required at the conclusion of each session. We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards (including online payment). The Clinic does not file insurance claims, but you may be able to file claims for services with your insurance company or request reimbursement from a flex account or HSA. Assessment services require full payment (cash, check, or credit card) at the first session.
Please notify the Clinic Office if appointments need to be canceled or re-scheduled. Missed appointments will be billed to you if the Clinic Office is not notified at least 24 hours in advance.
What are clinic fees used for?
The Clinic is self-supporting and could not operate without charging fees. The office equipment, office supplies, testing materials, training materials, and some salaries are paid for through Clinic fees.
